Still here!!!

Just in case there happens to be a single sole who still looks at our blog, we are still here and doing well. Just very busy. Summer came and whent school started, winter is just around the corner, we are expecting again and our kids are growing up. I will hopfully post better soon (I just have an 8 year old laptop that is dying) with pictures and more updates. Hope all is well.

Eggs

So I don't know how many of you know this little fact about Millie but she LOVES eggs. Yes my three year old loves to eat, cook, color, play, draw, hunt, and anything else that you can do with an egg. It has been this way for a few months now. She always has to have a few eggs with her daddy any time he cooks them. The picture she chose to draw for me for my mothers day gift was of course eggs. Telos tri

My brother Casey and I completed the telos triathlon today. I have never been less prepared for a race then I was for this one. The last time I rode my bike was the last tri, 5 months ago. I have only ran a handful of times since the last tri, 5 months ago. And only swam a couple of times since the last tri, 5 months ago. For those of you who know Orem, part of the biking is UP 4th south. In the past I have walked part way up the hill. Today Casey wasn't about to allow that. He literally pushed me and my bike up along side him, like a dad does for a little kid that can't make it up a hill. Therefore I have concurred 4th south (with a little help-thx Casey-luv ya). My next goal is a half marathon in JUNE. What, thats crazy soon. Well better get running, later.

This is our support group. All of our nine kids. Thanks to Holly and Mom for coming early and running the kids around to the different transitions to cheers us on.

Christmas 2010

We had a great Christmas this year. Not that other years we didn't. It's just that it is getting better as the kids get older. We get to see how much fun they have as we go throughout the holiday season.

Millie had so much fun with this car. It is a giant remote control car for Joe and can switch so she can drive it also. Win win.

Fun things this summer part 2

Just a few more things we did during the summer.

My brothers kids came to stay with us for about 2 months. It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun also. We love them so very much and miss them....'till Christmas.

Easter

I cut over 15 inches of my hair.

We had a blast at our reunion up Beaver Mtn.

Joe and Chad made some great shields and swords for some of the boys.

We had a pig pit roasting party. Yes thats right, we burried a pig in our back yard.
We rented a cute train and it was a big hit.

Pruitt Family ReunionWe visited a park in the middle of the day in the middle of July...so, ya, we didn't stay there for very long.

As some of you know, Joes mom was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. We are going to have a family and friends fast for her this Monday. If any of you would like to join us we could use your faith and prayers. She is such a wonderful woman and we love her so much. Thanks.

Running Again

I ran a mile today. Yeah!! It felt so good. I am excited to be able to start training again. Running just makes everything in my life so much better. I know that sounds kind of dumb but it's true. I feel I am a better mom, wife, and I feel good about myself. Running and I have a love/hate relationship. I hate it but at the same time I love it. Really strange, I know. I have a personal goal to run a 5k in 21 min. before i am 30. I know thats crazy fast and don't even know if it is physically possible for me but I am going to try. GO RUNNERS!!! (k, so im a geek)

Ashlie Jane Pruitt

Ashlie Jane Pruitt. 7lb 9oz 19 inches long. Birth was a little scary but she is doing great. She likes to sleep just like all newborns. She has a little dark hair but it will fall out soon enough. We love her so much already and we are excited for the slower pace of summer break to get used to her in our family. Just look at her cute cheeks.

Millie was right at home cause she has gotten a lot of practice with her baby dolls.

Jersie held her for just a second and was done. I guess she is just so grown up and has better things to do.

Clean

So today was my BIG cleaning day to get ready for the baby that is coming on Monday. I started out cleaning my kitchen including my stove and fridge. While doing this I was also getting several request for play time. So I dropped the BIG cleaning day and spent time with my kids. Seeing they wont get as much mom time after the baby. I love my kids so much. Jersie and Connor have SO much fun together. She has been a GREAT big (only in age) sister. Millie loves to go to Jersie with her problems and Jersie doesn't mind it either. They all love to snuggle, which Joe and I love. Connor is SO excited for his new sister to come. Every day he tells me that it is taking to long for her to come out of my tummy. I reply with "I know". Well wish me luck!! bye

My Morning

I keep reminding myself that I have had ALOT worse but this on is still worth writing down.

Millie crying before the clock strikes 6.
Neighbors dog barks till 6:20.
I remember why I hate dogs.
Millie stops crying for 5 min. Just enough time for me to think she might be asleep.
6:30 Connor wakes up and comes in bed with me. (1 1/2 hour earlier than normal)
We lay there listening to Millie cry till I get her at 7:20.
Jersie comes up at 7:25.
7:30 Jersie and Connor sit on the couch contemplating on what Millie is going to mess up next while I sit on the couch wishing we were all asleep and the night was still young.
7:33 Kids go downstairs to play.
7:34 Jersie comes up crying.
7:35 Connor goes to timeout for hitting.
7:50 Breakfast.
I start to wonder what I am going to do when I have a newborn in the mix.
7:51 Millie goes to timeout for hitting Connor.

Now its time to get ready for school.

St. GeorgeHike

We took a trip to St. George a while ago. Troy & Fam, Jake & Fam, and us all headed down to stay in one house. Luckily it was a big enough house for all of our kids. We went on a fun hike with the Hurricane clan. There were SO many kids. We packed a picnic and headed up the red rocks. It was a very nice day. There was a lot of rocks for the kids to climb on. And water running down the canyon for the kids to get wet. The house we rented had a nice pool and I have pictures of that to come.
